Thank you so much for the fantastic service you provided. John was telling me this evening that you were initially a specialist piano mover, and know loads of information about structure and function of pianos. I think that you were exactly the right person for our job - I couldn't have chosen better!
I did tinkle the ivories last night and it was quite poignant as it was the piano I learned to play on, which my father bought when we moved to a bigger house when I was the age that my elder daughter is now. My father died in January this year, after a very short illness, having been diagnosed with terminal cancer on December 1 last year (a year tomorrow) and the piano and record player and the boxes hold all sorts of memories and junk!
