Moving from Ireland to York

Being privileged to have worked at this address, for our customer, the current owner proudly showed me the unique original chinoiserie style staircase, which was still intact. Apparently the house was used as , what was then called a Lunatic Asylum. and the adjacent building was for the doctors and staff. 

As such terms, may seem offensive in the modern world, this would probably now have been called a Mental Health Facility
